Here are some of the most common questions we receive.
To restore a backup received by email, first download the file from the email to your device, which will be saved in the "Downloads" folder. Then, open the WorkIO app, go to options, and select "Restore backup." Next, choose the downloaded file from the file manager. A confirmation window will appear, informing you that all current data will be deleted; if you agree, press "OK." The app will restart and begin the restoration process. Once completed, go to the side menu and select one of your jobs or projects to verify that all data has been successfully restored.
To change your salary, open the app's side menu and select the "Manage jobs" button at the bottom. This will allow you to access the list of jobs or projects you have saved. From there, select the job or project for which you want to adjust the salary and make the change in its settings. Note that this change will only affect shifts recorded from that moment on; previous shifts will retain the previously configured salary.
To view a different month or year, simply tap on the current month and year text displayed at the top of the screen, just above the calendar. This will allow you to change the selected date and access data from previous or subsequent months or years.
WorkIO is currently funded through ads shown during its use, which allows us to offer the app for free and keep it constantly updated. We understand that ads can be disruptive, but they are necessary to support ongoing app development. In the future, we will explore other funding options to reduce the number of ads. If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can remove them for a small monthly fee and enjoy WorkIO without interruptions.
WorkIO is available for Android and iOS devices, and we will soon be launching a web version so you can manage your time from any device. You can download the app from the official stores.
Currently, WorkIO offers two main versions for mobile devices, one version that stores data locally on the device, and a more modern version that uses cloud storage, providing greater security and cross-device synchronization. We are in the process of transitioning so that all users can benefit from cloud storage, allowing access to data from any location and device. Additionally, we are developing a web version that will further expand access and time management options.
Currently, it is necessary to manually back up data from the app's options. This is important in case you change devices or if your current device is damaged, as we do not have access to your data, and without a backup, it could be lost. We recommend making periodic backups; it only takes one click and ensures that your data is safe if any issues arise. Soon, the new cloud-connected version will allow you to automatically store and synchronize your data within the WorkIO ecosystem, so it is always safe and accessible from any device without extra concerns.
The iPhone version uses the WorkIO cloud ecosystem to keep your data secure and stored, eliminating any worry about loss. Your data is automatically synchronized between devices, allowing you to access it from anywhere. If you change devices or if your current one is damaged, simply install the app and log in with your account to recover all your information. In the future, we also plan to add new export features so you can manage your data even more comprehensively.
